We love seeing children! We cater to them as much as possible and enjoy helping them learn about their teeth and the best ways to take care of them.
Setting a high standard of oral hygiene early on will help children have healthy teeth and gums for life. We encourage you to bring them in for their regular cleanings, x-rays and exams twice a year.
It is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry that children make their first visit to the dentist by the age of one or when the first tooth emerges. This is important because it allows the doctor to examine their mouth and discuss specific oral hygiene instructions for the child.
The mouth is constantly changing and growing in childhood. Along with the growth can come injuries and issues that, when addressed early, can be easily treated by the doctor.
Parents should begin brushing and flossing their children’s teeth when their first tooth erupts. Often times while the child is learning it is good to have them brush first and then the parent do a follow-up brushing to catching anything the child may have missed.
We offer fluoride treatments if desired, high quality sealants, ways to resolve thumb sucking, baby bottle decay, and mouth guards for bruxism.
